Lakes, orange groves, golf courses and sunshine mixed with small town charm make Highlands county a relaxing getaway.

Highlands County boasts more than 100 lakes to please any fishing enthusiast. For aviation enthusiasts, there are seaplane fly-ins on beautiful Lake Jackson, as well as the annual Sport Aviation Expo at Sebring Airport. The area also offers more than 17 extraordinary golf courses. Wet, dry, sandy and woody conditions combine to create unique challenges for all skill levels.

The Community Redevelopment Agency and Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce hold a number of events on the Circle throughout the year. These include a Roaring Twenties Festival, an Arts and Crafts Fair, Downtown Garage Sales, Saturday Night Cruises, Heartland Idol, Gallery Walk, and Taste of the Race.

The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce maintains a list of more than 200 local clubs and organizations, including civic clubs, fraternal organizations, hobby and collectors clubs, veteran’s organizations, professional associations and opportunities for volunteer services.
